Wallace Hall Cross Country

The Wallace Hall cross-country championships took place recently on the school playing fields. Although it was dry overhead, conditions were very wet underfoot and this tested the competitors’ stamina and resilience. Competition was fierce for the prizes with everyone running really well in all sections. Winners were: S1 Boys – Michael Cooper, S1 Girls – Tyler Nelson, S2 Boys – Seb Young, S2 Girls – Zennor Coombs, S3 Boys – Alex Bramley, S3 Girls – Priya Rome, S4 Boys – Finlay Forsyth, S4 Girls – Ellie Hyslop, Senior Boys – Finlay Bainbridge, Senior Girls – Ella Gildert.

Pupils placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class went on to represent the school at the regional championships. Top Wallace Hall competitor was Zennor Coombs who took silver in the S2 Girls’ race.
