Wallace Hall Sailing Club

The Wallace Hall Sailing Club had a fantastic start to the season at the Annandale Sailing Club. Mr Miller, teacher leading the Wallace Hall Sailing Club said: “The Annandale Sailing Club is situated on the picturesque surroundings of Castle Loch, Lochmaben, and boasts a welcoming clubhouse, Boat Park, training for both adults and children and regular racing. The club is also a recognised RYA training centre and can offer courses in Dinghy Sailing for children and adults, Power boating, First Aid and the RYA Safety Boat course. Our club is very fortunate to be able to access these fantastic facilities and be made feel so welcome. Thanks to all at the Annandale Sailing Club as well as Stuart Bell and David Gemmel for supporting the Wallace Hall pupils. Thanks also to Mrs Black for helping me organise our sailing sessions.”

Last week, the Wallace Hall Sailing Club took part in the 5 Castles Regatta which was kindly hosted by the Galloway Activity Centre at Loch Ken. This was the first time this Wallace Hall sailing team had taken part in a racing regatta and they were delighted to perform well during what was a perfect day.
