Wallace Hall Pupil selected for Scotland
Aeron started karate at the age of 4, he began training with Dumfries Shotokan Karate until the age of 9 and then started training with Stewartry Karate club. He trained in Dalbeatie, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright and New Abbey. He began competing all over the UK winning numerous titles. At the age of 12 he started training in Glasgow. He competed overseas at the age of 13, competing in Germany and Italy. In November 2017 he moved to Shitokai Scotland who are based in Renfrew one of the most successful clubs in the UK. This meant that Aeron had to change karate style, up until then he trained in Shotokan but had to change to Shito Ryu.
He had aspirations of competing for Scotland and to be considered for Scotland National Team selection he had to attend Scotland pool training which was run by the Scotland karate coaches which again was based in Renfrew.
As well as attending Scotland pool training he had to compete in World level competitions, this year he has competed in Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia and Poland and also getting prepared to compete in Venice before Christmas. He got a 5th place in Slovakia a 7th place finish in the 16/17 year category in Poland and finished outside the top 16 at the world youth cups in Bulgaria and Croatia aswell as becoming Scottish International Champion in April. Aeron is currently ranked number 39 in the world. Aeron trains 3 to 4 times a week in Renfrew.
