Top Achievement for Alexander

Congratulations to Alexander Bettaney who was presented with an Outstanding Citizenship Youth Award at the Dumfries and Galloway Youth Awards dinner held in the Easterbrook Hall on Thursday 21st November.

Barry Graham, Head Teacher, said: We nominated Alexander for this award in recognition of the effort he put into his SQA examinations and his subsequent success in achieving three Band A passes (Physics, Administration and Engineering Science) and two at Band B (English and Mathematics) at National 5 level. He also achieved unit passes in Graphic Communication at National 5. This is an unprecedented achievement and testimony to the fortitude, resilience and sheer spirit that Alexander demonstrates on a daily basis. He is a fantastic role model and an inspiration to everyone and his cheery disposition and general demeanour are a lesson to us all.”
