Primary 1 Weaving their way to success

Primary 1 pupils with the help of their teacher Miss Purves have been learning to weave. Miss Purves said 'The art of weaving or sewing is a skill that helps to develop fine motor skills and the pincer grip, which in turn helps little fingers to hold a pencil correctly'.

They class were split into groups of two and as a team they had to decide on a pattern to follow, colours to use and most importantly who was going first. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed this topic and their craft work is proudly displayed on the class notice boards.
