Maths Week at WHA

.StartFragment

What can maths do for you?

This year’s math week competition had the concept of showing how maths can help you in many ways in your every day life. The competition was open for all pupils in the year groups S1-S3, with the theme being “Maths to the Rescue”.

The competition entailed pupils designing a poster to show just how maths can be of help to people, there were a wide range of different interpretations of the theme which resulted in some very well put together posters. Although there were many “High Quality Efforts” the top prize was awarded to Emily Cochrane for her amazing interactive poster, the resulting posters from this competition can be seen in the maths department on the walls in the corridor.
